ITS OFFICIAL.........
I went and had the car dyno'ed today, my baseline has been established, now for the Mods to begin. After my runs I mentioned I need a cam to wake my motor up.

1st pull, 205.67rwhp with 264.29ft lbs
2nd pull, 211.06rwhp with 262.58ft lbs

This combo is with a 350 punched 60 over, iron heads with angle plugs, hooker shorty headers, Y pipe.

I stumbled across another deal, while on the road in Georgia

Found a Stage3 built 700r4 from Outlaw Transmissions and a tranny cooler

This is from a guy who's project has changed direction, his loss my gain, now to go by the shop that built it and try to get the warranty transferred, This tranny has never been bolted up to a motor.
Now for a trq converter in the 25/2800 lockup range

My 84 went under the mod knife this past week, removing the tranny, and installing the new 700r4 stage 3, ( rated for 700hp, with a stage 2 shift kit) , and a 2600 stall convertor, replaced the old tranny lines with all new, and replumbed loactions of the trans coolers, and the addition of a B&M Megashifter. System now has at least a 13 qt capacity now.

Also did a little fat trimming, removed the old a/c compressor, and mounting brackets, condensor, and lines, left the evaporator in place for now. Also did a little cleaning/polishing of the aluminum and stainless and chrome underhood. Fabbed a new front airdam deflector out of stainless.

Did a little test driving while fine tuning the TV kickdown cable, also made it out to the PC show, everything feels good, firm shifts between gears with a hard 1/2 shift.

Hey Buddy, looks and sounds good! Glad you could use those muffs. Now is that a true duel setup?

Longtube headers to the X-over then the mufflers dumped right the axle.
So that would mean I now have true duals.... :3gears: :icon_3gears:

carb not bolted down yet, will wait till swapped, but fuel lines are done, t-stat & housing done, flexplate mounted, oil dipstick installed

if work & mothernature will co-operate, the demo/gut-out might start next thurs or fri. then clean and paint the engine bay

There's no denying what is lurking under the hood now, with the way the exhaust sounds, almost like the cackle of a pro-drag car..... :dancenana:

found the reason behind the wicked sound... http://www.compcams.com/Cam_Specs/CamDe ... d=190&sb=2
